Texans fear Brian Cushing has torn ACL

The injury Texans linebacker Brian Cushing suffered on Monday night may have ended his season.
A source told PFT’s Mike Florio that the Texans’ medical staff fears Cushing suffered a torn ACL in Monday night’s win over the Jets. An MRI to reveal the severity of the injury will be conducted today.
Cushing suffered the injury when Jets offensive lineman Matt Slauson hit him in the back of the knee, and he looked like he was in a lot of pain as he writhed on the ground. He was eventually able to limp to the locker room without assistance.
The team’s first-round draft pick in 2009, Cushing has been one of the team’s best defensive players. He served a four-game suspension in 2010 but has never missed a game because of injury.
