NFL Fans, Be Thankful!

By: Colin Cook

...because this Thursday is jam-packed with three awesome games!

First is Houston at Detroit, with the Texans attempting to hold their AFC dominance and the Lions hungry for a playoff run amidst the amazingly talented NFC North. Clearly, this is a 'must-win' for the Lions, and it also is a 'must-dominate' for the Texans after nearly losing to the Jaguars. Detroit will be looking to exploit the Texans secondary after Jonathan Joseph and Daniel Manning were turning in bad performances last weekend. Expect and high-flying power game between Matt Schaub (500+ yards and five touchdowns last weekend) and Matthew Stafford, one of the NFL's most prolific deep pass playmaker.

Then it's the Redskins at Dallas, two teams battling for their playoff lives in this one. These two teams have absolutely nothing to lose and you can expect big plays from two excellent quarterbacks. RG3 is looking for a Rookie of the Year award and he definitely made a statement last weekend with a powerful performance. He'll be looking for the same results this Thursday amidst the forest of Cowboys' defenders in the secondary, ready to make a play. After nearly losing to the Browns last weekend, the Cowboys will be looking for a dominating performance to prove to everyone, and themselves, that the Browns didn't just nearly beat them.

Finally, New England takes on New Jer- er, New York. Remember how explosive this game was a few weeks ago? Well Mark Sanchez just built some confidence last weekend, and he's looking to finish what he started last time these two teams met earlier this season. The Patriots' secondary is still suspect, even with Aqib Talib in the ranks, so Sanchez will get another shot to drill in some passes. Tom Brady will be looking for another 40+ points game without his number one target, tight end Gronkowski. He has even targets at wide receiver to start a shooting range, so the Jets will be full on defense trying to take plays away from the Patriots.

Be thankful, guys! The NFL has graced us with three amazing games to watch all day on Thursday! So if you're being dragged to some family outing, grab your ESPN Gamecenter app, or NFL Mobile, or whatever have you, to make sure you catch all three of these great match ups!
